Main Idea: God heard the groanings of His people and remembered His covenant

What I Learned about God: God is faithful to His Word

Summary: God is faithful both to His people and His covenant. The basis of His answering of the people's prayer is none other than His promise that He made through Abraham. This speaks volumes of the amount of depth and awareness He has on His own Word. This is an amazing idea, that God would wait this long to deliver the Israelite people. One of the reasons being He was awaiting for them to grow the right size before sending them out of Egypt. Egypt was giving birth to a nation, whether she knew it or not.

Application: I would like many things to be going right with church. I wish I was more polished as a pastor and preacher. I also have great desires for the church to finally stop fighting amongst ourselves and be unified for growth. I would love children's dept and youth dept to finally work together for once. All of these are growing into frustration as little seems to get done on the basis of these principles. THis is when I must turn to what God says in His word. Will His church be perfect? Someday. But, in terms of unity and love, the church has already been perfected through the Word of Christ. Therefore, I need to look towards the promises of God as He will never go back on His word.
