Luke 12:22-31
Time Spent:
Main Idea: Stop worrying fool!, just know He knows what you need
What I Learned about God: God provides to all the deserving
Summary: In Luke's version of the Gospel, Jesus is speaking about how we should not be anxious for our lives, food or clothes. Jesus ridicules us with an example of how God provides for ravens and grass of a field and yet we are the ones that still doubt that God will provide for us when He provides for the things He has given us to rule over. He compares us to the nations of the world and how they are the type of people that would chase after these things but we are the ones who should not be like the rest of the world and chase after those material possessions, but instead we must first seek the Kingdom and all will be provided for us.
Application: Jesus is always next to us. He is always the one to pick us up when we are falling and He is the one that clothes us when we are cold, and yet we still forget that God will take care of us when we follow His name. People of this world worry about the physical materials of the world such as food and clothing and electronics and music, but God said to not to worry of those things because when we serve God, He provides us with all that we need, no matter what the circumstances are, God can truly make it possible to work in any situation of life. We as Christians must never forget that He is right there supporting us with everything that we will ever need in our spiritual walk with Him.
