Main Idea: Trust in Him Always
What I learned about God: God has the perfect plan for everyone
Summary: This is a passage in which Abraham is called by God to pick up everything he had owned in his life and move to Canaan, in which he followed God's words. Abraham took him, his wife Sarai, and his nephew Lot and all of his possessions. Abraham went and saw this land full of Canaanites and then as God promised that land for his children, he believed God's truth as true and then he built an altar for God in the middle of the land.
Application: Abraham was a guy full of faith. He followed God and whatever He had told Abraham to do. When someone tells me to get up from a seat I am comfortably on, I say no and refuse but when Abraham decided to move him and his whole family to join God, that is tremendous faith in God's word being the truth. Abraham is a man who never forgot the meaning of God's words. Over 2000 years ahve passed since then but we must also remember how God's word, no matter how against it we may be, it is the truth and we must listen. God gives us advice that will seem beneficial or burdening at times, but what we must do as Christians is to listen to God's voice and just know that He will provide for us.
