Time Spent: 11:40
Main Idea:Christ's Glory and the Prophetic Word
What I learned about God: There is no coincidence, only God
Summary: This is in Peter's 2nd letter to the churches and in this part of the passage, Peter is explaining how this faith is not a story, it is not a myth it is their real life that he himself had experienced and came to know. Peter is explaining how none of this is a myth in that it is just based fiction but instead it is based upon real life in that Jesus was there, He was the Son of God, and He was the one who died for us. Peter than explains all this because in this time, Peter is imminetily awaiting his execution in Rome and he needs to reassure everyone of this fact that Jesus is King and that fact must live on through the ages even after his own death. Peter then ends this with how we must be the ones holding the candle in the dark place and how God truly plans everything down the the smallest details.
Application: This is showing me in my life that God is living in every step that I take because He is the one that is planning each moment that I breathe. In my life, whenever I feel that my life is going the wrong way, I must remind myself that God is the one that is truly planning everything in my life. I just need to remember how each and every moment that I feel might be good or bad for my life, God has already planned it out for me. I need to have faith that everything is part of His plan and I need to just trust in Him whole-heartily and just to know that God is planning everything for me.
