5/29/10: Psalm 1:1-6

Time Spent: 15 mins

Main Idea: The way of the righteous and the wicked

What I learned about God:God only knows the way of the righteous

Summary: This is the first chapter of Psalm and it is explaining the ways of the wicked and the ways of the righteous. It is definitely different in that it is first explained the ways of the righteous in how all there ways are so synchronized. The righteous are compared to a tree that bears its fruit when it must and it will have its leaves wither when they must. It then explains how the wicked are different in that they cannot stand the crazy amount of judgment that the Lord puts upon them. The wicked will then be judged and condemned to hell.

Application: In my life, I must remember to walk in the way of the righteous in that when God has something planned for me, I will be able to produce and when He wants me to be still, I will. Being wicked is being eternally dead and not being able to see His love and mercy for all eternity. In my life, I want to follow God's word and I want to follow His love in all that I do. In my life, I must continue to pray for what God's calling for me is, because I must devote my whole life and all of what I do in His name.
