5/25/10: 2 Timothy 3:10-17

Time Spent: 6:30

Main Idea: All Scripture is God breathed

What I learned about God: God breathes life into all of us

Summary: This is in the 3rd chapter of 2 Timothy and the passage is speaking about how we must endure through all persecution and stay in God's love and steadfastness. It truly takes a firm believer to keep on being faithful and not paying attention to those who deceive and become deceived throughout their lives. If we continue in the road of God, then we are therefore blessed with the knowledge of having God's Word which was given to us at our childhood so that we are able to teach, correct, and rebuke throughout our lives. Even though it was given to us at our childhood, God's Word is eternal and never changing and therefore is always God breathed.

Application: In my life, I try to dictate my own life by showing my actions are the ones to truly give me judgment instead of God. I therefore trick myself in thinking that God is not the one dictating my life but truly in God's Word, I am judged and rebuked each and every action that I do. In life, I need to remember that God's Word is the Word that is eternal and God breathed and therefore it should be the guideline in which I live my life. This is how I must live my life, by abiding to the Word each and everyday and remembering what God's Word is teaching me and apply it to my life. I do not create my own lines and boundaries in life, but it is all in God's eternally breathed Word.
