Main Idea: Bearing another man's burden
What I learned about God: If we sow in the Spirit, we reap eternal life
Summary: This is in the book of Galatians and this passage is about how we must take up another man's burdens. This shows the love of God through our actions. We as people who are taught the Word must go onto others and teach them of what we learned. Unless we do that, people will continue to sow in the flesh and reap corruption but we must show them how to sow in the Spirit so that they may reap eternal life. We can't grow weary of doing this because it is our duty to help our body of Christ.
Application: When reading this passage, I was truly led onto thinking things of my own life. How when I am an Awana leader and a power jumpers leader, I get so weary of doing all these things, but to see this new perspective of how we have to be the ones to continue teaching because in the end we are truly just helping each other. This reminded me of a passage by Paul where it roughly says how if we don't take the chance in helping someone know Jesus and they die a non-Christian, then their blood is upon our hands. In my life, I must take every opportunity that comes my way in order for me to truly just be who God made me to be. I must be the hand of God that is reached out to those in the shadow so that I may show them the Light of Jesus.
